*note: both means "wait", just that they are in different forms. The one on your left is in "te-form", while the one on your right is in the dictionary form.

Notice the difference size of the 'tsu' circled in red? The one on our left is of smaller size, so we shall call it the small 'tsu'.
It doesn't really have a pronunciation of it own, as you can see from the romanji (english spelling of japanese words). It takes the first letter of word it comes before.
So how shall we go about pronouncing it then? Don't get confused by the romanji it takes after, it just basically means you give it a short pause before pronouncing the word after the small 'tsu'.

Like this: ma *short pause* te.

Yoshi. So how about this: Totte?
Ans: to *short pause* te

Katte?
Ans: ka *short pause* te.

Intrigued on how to pronounce japanese words when you come across one?
*note: i did not give pronunciations to all hiraganas here, due to my time limit.

The 'a' is being pronounced like the A in father. So as we go down the column, we'll pronounced the first letter followed by the A in father.
For eg, 'ka' will sound like the 'ka' in card, 'sa' will sound like the 'sa' in SARS...and so on and forth.


The 'i' will sound like the the 'e' letter in english.
The 'ki' will sound like the 'ki' in kid, 'shi' in shit, 'chi' like the cheat so on and forth.
*the 'gi' and 'ji' might be slightly confusing.
'gi' will sound like the word geek and 'ji' will sound something like gym.

The 'u' will sound like coop, the 'ku' sounding like cool, 'su' like susan.
'tsu' is the hardest to describe because i think there's no english pronounced that sounds close to it. In chinese, the closest i can think is 'zi' the first sound. Like: 资.
Try putting your teeth together, push your tongue against the teeth and make a sound. 'tsu' will sound something like that. Haha. Sorry for the lack of information.
* to me, 'zu' and 'dsu' sounds the same. It sounds very much like zoo.


On the other hand, 'e' sounds like the 'e' from eh.
'ke' like cat, 'se' like send, 'te' in tend and so on.

While 'o' will sound the same as the o in the english letter.
'ko' will sound like code, 'so' like sold, 'to' like told, so on and forth.
*'wo' will sound like world.

On the 'o' column, 11th row, there's a letter that looks strangely like 'h'. It's pronounced like placing your tongue between your teeth and making a sound. Sounds like the 'm' in erm, for a lack of better example.





There are some exceptions to pronunciation and these exceptions happens when the hiragana becomes a particle.

Originally pronounced as 'ha' (like the hahaha). But when it becomes a particle, it becomes 'wa' (war).


The 'wa' is a particle which addresses the noun in front of it as the main topic. So 'watashi' (I) is the main topic. 'Desu' is just something to end the statement.

This 'he' (hey) will become 'e' (elephant) when it becomes a particle.

'e' is something like 'to'; I go to Japan.

If it's just a word, it's pronounced as 'wo' (world). When in particle mood. It sounds like 'o' just like the o in english letter.

This 'o' is a particle that addresses the noun in front of it as an object.

Well of course there are many more particles but i wont be touching on that =)
If you have noticed, the japanese language have a different way of phrasing their words. While English uses a noun-verb-object arrangement, japanese language uses a noun-object-verb arrangement.
Other languages like Korean also uses this same word arrangement.

Phew! Finally done on the hiragana part. For the next session, i think i might be touching on the katakana part. Don't worry, katakana is nothing new, they all have the same pronounciations as the hiragana, it's just that they have a different look/stroke as compared to the hiragana.

Got my earpiece.
Somehow going out even for short while drains my energy. By the time i came back home, i was feeling the urge to hit my pillow.

Anyways, after dinner, i decided to mix Coke Zero into my Yakult (original). The taste? Not bad though, i quite like the taste. It tasted mainly of Yakult, with a little bit of Coke Zero taste mix into it and of course, i can taste the gas too...the kind of feel when you opened a bottle of coke and drink madly. But the gas is not that strong cos i had the bottle opened couple days ago =)

The colour? Well, it depends on how much coke you add into it. Not sure how to describe but just let's say the beige from Yakult don't really mix well with the black from Coke...so the colour looks kind of weird, but it doesn't really bother me as long as i get to enjoy the taste ^^

Anyone interested in a "drinking" session with me? The kind of drinking session where we basically buy few kinds of drink and mix them together to drink.
Haha, i think that will really put our stomach to the test, right?

It took me quite long to remember that i got the Loveless manga. My sis's friend didn't want it and so she GAVE it to my sis.
That being said, i only got the first volume of Loveless, in chinese though.
It doesn't matter if i don't understand some part of it (not that i can't read chinese, but somehow the words doesn't make sense to the story plot), seeing Soubi is enough to kill me.
Yes, he killed me more than Edward from Twilight.
Especially the scene where he pulled his hair up to cook. I distinctly remember that part from the anime...hahaha :)

As usual, nothing interesting happened so far.
Well, except for some events that made me confused and hesitant for a while.
It's all over though. Life's like that and i have to move on, despite the disappointment i've felt.
Don't really wished to talk about it since it's over.

Anyways, i've the urge to go out tomorrow to get myself a new pair of ear piece. Mine is spolit already!


*random: I want to know MUCC's thoughts behind their latest album, Shion! I'm surprised by their "new" sound! They have this some sort of Indian music influences in Shion, add in a little bit of trance? But Tatsuro's voice compliment all the songs perfectly so i have no complaints!

PHEW! Finally got this skin done. Haha.
Basically i spent quite a couple of days doing the skin design and the codings..and no, i didn't upgrade to the Blogger's new system of editing HTML.
That was one pain in the ass and i realised that it feels too much like doing customization for LiveJournal, except that LJ is more complicated.

Quite pleased with the overall results of this skin. I wanted to make it more emo like having lots of black and more blood but somehow i think this doesn't really suit Sanzo. He's not the kind to kill himself, let alone writing a final note to *ahem* friends. In short, he's not sentimental and he don't regard anyone as friends; he would like to think them as slaves. Haha.

One more month till school reopens! I'm gonna make full use of it by slacking at home!

*edit: it seems funny on how often i keep changing my blog skins. I just realised for the past 6 months, i've roughly changed it 3 times? Hoot!!

Really nothing to update...my life is just bored.

Anyone tried the new blogger yet? I'm thinking of upgrading to it but who knows what will happen.
I've studied the new blogger's new way of editing html for customizing the skin and while i understand how it works somehow, i dont think i'll be able to re-write all the codes from scratch.
Hah.

Speaking of the new blogger, i havent finish the header! I've ran out of inspiration for that header so i think it will be quite plain ~_~

Ahh....i forgot to add that the voice actor for Soubi in loveless is also the voice actor for Komui in D.Gray-Man, and also the voice actor of Shuuhei/Keigo (Ichigo's friend) in Bleach (and many others that i can't remember now), and this guy is Konishi Katsuyuki!! :)

Soubi's voice is something like Komui in serious mood but i think slightly deeper xD
No wonder Ritsuka is infatuated with him. Hah.

Anyway, here's a small part from Bleach's Soul Sonic festival in 2006 where the seiyuus from Bleach do live voice-over for a small part from the anime.


Paku Romi (voice actor for Hitsugaya the white haired boy) is freaking awesome. She's known to do voices for young boy characters. One of the character she did is Edward from Full Metal Alchemist. <3
!! And Konishi appeared around 4.53, voicing for Shuuhei and Fukuyama Jun (around 5.23) as well (one of my fav seiyuus too ^^)
Jun's doing the voice over Yumichika (naru-chan) and he's wearing the long sleeved shirt with a bow tied in front of him. CUTE!!!!!!!!

I FREAKING LOVE LIVE ANIME DRAMA!! :D

....and i could not stand it anymore T.T

I think it's quite rare for me to pick up a book and read.

BUT I'M SO ABSORBED IN TWILIGHT BY STEPHENIE MEYER!!

It's a romance, sadly but at least it's not too lovey-dovey for my good. Ok, there were parts i couldn't stand it but the thing that kept me going is not the romance, rather it's the characters that kept me going, because it's a relationship between a human and a vampire =)

The descriptions of the vampire's family is good? For some reason, when the family (or rather the siblings) are described, the Noah Family from D.Gray-Man pops to my mind almost immediately, especially Skin Bolic. HAHAHA.

As for the main character vampire, Edward, i think of Soubi from Loveless (yaoi anime) because the author keep describing him as a "very pretty looking guy" and looking almost like a fake one.

*sighs* how i wished Soubi is a vampire and i'll willingly let him bite me xD

Ok, i side-tracked, but my mind was picturing Soubi as Edward the whole time i was reading it. The characteristics of Edward also resembles Soubi somewhat. Both are demanding and they like to 'order' their other half. Hahaha.
Since i'm half-way through the book, i dont really know what's gonna happened next, but my sis bought the 2nd part of the series and i read the back part and it seems like the story's got some fighting going on, so i'm looking real forward to the action scenes ^^

Anyway, i hope there's a second season to Loveless because there are a lot questions that are left unanswered and it doesn't hurt to see Soubi and Ritsuka being in close contact...WHOO! :D

Wasn't feeling well yesterday night so i didnt come online at all.
Besides, sis bought BUS GAMER manga back and i read it.
Another great work by Minekura Kazuya. And the author is a girl! Must support.
To yaoi lovers out there if you don't know already, Minekura Kazuya DO have yaoi influences in her work in one point or another, but it's not that explicit of course.
Her most famous work, might be the Saiyuki series which has already been turned into anime series.
But sadly the yaoi is quite subtle or none at all, considering that the anime is for the general mass.
Her another work, Wild Adapter (W.A) is quite interesting and i'm engrossed in the story plot =)
And the yaoi feel is more obvious than in Saiyuki ^^
But sadly, my sis went Kinokuniya to check yesterday, they haven't released the fifth edition of W.A.... =(

Caught flu!
Going to take the medicine before going to bed.
On One Piece binge lately.
And i started to watch Bleach again.
Haiz~ As expected of Bleach, things are going to go bad first.
Ichigo is going to be out of action for sometime (as expected)
Now left Ishida and Renji?
O yea and Rukia.
Things not looking good for them also...and i also expected it.
Hahaha...gonna skip a few more epiodes before i start watching Bleach again and that means i wont be touching it even though the following episodes are coming out.
But things are going to be different for One Piece!
Yes, it's draggy (some arcs might be even more draggy than Bleach) but i feel the CONNECTION with One Piece.
Hahahaha and yes, i'm bias against One Piece. :)
One Piece may not have the best drawing around or the best kick-ass action but it definitely has the best comedy in all the animes i've ever watched :)
And the characters are all have insanely tough body. Eg. won't die even though a 10,000 degrees hot body is slammed to them. Just a slight injury.
Wohoo! I'm normally not a lover of hyper, adventurous sounding song BUT so far i LOVE all the openings for One Piece, and Jungle P is one of them so imagine my happiness when i found the lyrics for Jungle P.
But too bad the song is toooooooo short :(
It's highly addictive, the tune, the rhythm, lyrics...everything!
