I think a career in playing bands should be regarded as "hazardous jobs".

I just read that Tora (Gt) from alice nine is suffering from a chronic illness, spinal disk hernia and he can't feel anything from his neck down to his left hand.
And the worst thing he plays the guitar. If he continue to manage more than he can, chances are, he will become paralyse.
So now, alice nine are not able to go on with their tour because of that condition. Hope Tora gets well soon =(

Well, i'm sure not only Tora faces such worrying health problem. Kyo (Dir en Grey) for example almost died. Not really sure if that is true but i read somewhere sometime back in 2001, he suffered from dunno what health problems and almost died from it. Luckily, he managed to fight back and he is now deaf in one ear. Then since from that experience, he made a song Ain't Afraid to Die. Somewhat haunting, that song, especially the children vocals in the background.

Of course there are unlucky ones and the classic example will be hide (X-Japan), although he didnt really died from medical problems. But it is still a loss to the JRock industry. Kami (Malice Mizer) also died from bleeding in the brain. =(
