Song: Orenji no Taiyou
Song: Gackt & HYDE

Finished watching Moon Child (moive), starring HYDE, Gackt and Wang Leehom on youtube. Not to be biased (HYDE and Gackt goodness *drools*) but I think the movie is GOOD. 4.5/ 5. However, i gotta admit there are craps throughout the movie but hey, these are GOOD CRAPS, ok? And the movie was sooooooo heart wrenching that i cried myself silly at the end. =(

The ending alone is worth the high rating, not to mention the acting skills of the 3 SINGERS, not actors =) And oh yea, did I mentioned Gackt and HYDE speaking some of their lines using Chinese? ^^

In addition to being a singer, Gackt has actually...erm...thrown away his 'cool' image for the character in the early part of the plot. My impression of Gackt is always cool, cold-hearted looking (oops ;P)...you get the idea, but the first part of his character is so totally not cool-looking, always pulling off weird stunts (hahaha...dunno how to describe it but he did some actions that made me laugh my head off), but HYDE retained his cool image though <3>

So anyway, the story takes place in a chaotic city where people usually live for the sake of themselves. Story starts with a young Sho (Gackt) meeting Kei, a vampire (HYDE) in a deserted place and some sort of friendship develops between them. Then later part (when Sho has grown up) when Sho and Kei were staking a hideout of a local mafia (to get $$), they met Son (leehom) and since they are against the same enemy, they joined forces and from there they become friends.

The story plot does not focus more on the vampire side, but on the human side, the developments of Sho and Son's character. Overall, the whole movie is SAD i tell you, with their friends dying off one by one. =(
Anyway, i divided it to 2 parts, one being the 'happy times', with the 4 or 5 (Sho, Kei, Toshi [Sho's childhood friend], Son and his sis) being as a group.
The 'sad times' will be when Son joined the local chinese mafia, Kei getting locked up in prison for murder (lol) etc. So the tension was at the last bit, where Son and Sho were fighting one-to-one at gun-point.
Skipped that part abit cos it was DAMN SAD.

Sho purposely didn't shoot his last bullet and got shot instead. Kei came in at that point of time and the agitated Son provoked Kei into shooting him and died. I almost cried when Kei recounted thier happier times as a group. Obviously, Sho succumbed to his mortal injuries and died, but Kei did a selfish thing, and that is to turn him into a vampire.

At last to the final bit, where all their friends (Son, Toshi, Yi Che [Son's sister and also Sho's wife]) had all left them, and Sho, Kei being a vampire. Kei or Sho had suggested going to the sea (during night) and they sat in the car. Sho pulled out an earlier taken photo with the 5 of them together during happy times. He put it infront of his car and the two of them sat in the car in silence.
They sat till the tiny bit of dawn breaking out, and from there I knew what was going to happen. Hahaha...i felt a bit of tears coming up but i continued watching...the camera then focused to the rising sun and I heard Sho saying:

Sho: Kei, yoake ga mieru yo. (Kei, I can see the dawn breaking)

That sentence plus the music coming was turning point for me. I cant contained it anymore longer. I CREID!!!! The tears wont stop flowing so I let it flowed as I continued watching.
The next scence was in broad daylight, with the five of them excatly together and waiting to take a picture at the seaside.
I believed that was when the five of them are reborn again and they were honouring the promise, cos in the 'happy times' part of the plot, Son had suggested that they come to the beach during the daytime again to take pictures.
Since that wish cannot be fulfilled because Kei was a vampire, but they can do it now because they had all move on to another life and they are all humans again.

Lol, by that time, my eyes were all and puffy but i kept going back to watch the ending! It was a bitter-sweet ending and i LOVE it, although it makes me cry like mad. =.=

Sorry for the long post, gotta take this off my chest before i cry in my pillow tonight again =)
O yea, Orenji no Taiyou was sang in the movie too. They way Gackt and HYDE sang it also almost made my cry.

Yuugure ni kimi to mita
Orenji no taiyou
Nakisouna gao o shite
Eien no sayonara....

(not sure if the lyrics are correct not, typed it as what i think :P)
